Standalone Verifone, Ingenico, and PAX terminals are usually reprogrammable to Payzium. Some newer all-in-one systems are locked to their original processor and need replacing. Clover hardware is processor-locked; we work around it on the application. Open POS systems work directly. We confirm exactly what carries over before you sign.

Questions merchants ask before they pick a path.
Do I own the hardware on the rental?
No. The rental is monthly. The terminal stays Payzium's. You pay only while you use it. Cancel the rental anytime and ship it back. If you would rather own a terminal outright, ask during the application; we can usually arrange it case-by-case but rental is the published path.
Can I really cancel the rental anytime?
Yes. The published terms are month to month with no termination fee. If you cancel, billing stops at the end of the current month.
What does Clover actually cost on Payzium?
The Clover Flex and Mini rent month to month at $59 all-in, cancel the rental whenever you want. The full Clover Stations, kitchen display, and kiosk come on a Clover lease or purchase, Clover's rule, not ours. We quote the exact monthly and the software plan on your application before you sign.
How fast can I switch?
Typically 7 to 10 days from approval to go-live, depending on hardware and POS setup. We ship the terminal next-business-day on approval if you chose rental, or coordinate the Clover order if you chose Clover.
What does Pay less or it's free cover on hardware?
The guarantee covers up to $1,000 of your switching cost from your previous processor. That is meant to cover hardware swap-out costs (replacing a Square Register, for example), early-termination penalties on a prior lease, or any other switching cost. If you have not saved money on processing in the first 90 days, every Payzium fee is refunded too.
